Our photo contest is open and accepting entries!!! If you’d like to enter our first annual pet photo calendar contest or just want to know more, check out the details on our new webspace at http://www.hope4fuziefaniez.com/events.html. It’s a great way to get “exposure” for your pet while helping a great cause!
How
you can help:
Online support
GoodSearch has been a quite good to us! GoodSearch is a
toolbar you download and put on your regular internet browser. Then, instead of going to google.com or
another type of search engine, you just type what you want to search for in the
GoodSearch box and Tami and the furries
will receive $0.01 from GoodSearch for every single
search you complete through their toolbar.
This isn’t much, but imagine how much she could
get each month if everyone on this email list used GoodSearch
and selected Hope4FuzieFaniez their charity.
This was included in last month’s email and so far Tami will receive $9.50
(two free bags of cat litter) just from Goodsearching. If you would like to get in on this awesome
way to give just by doing something most people do every day (searching for
something online) without any cost to you, go to www.GoodSearch.com and install the free
program!
We are now registered through
Mission Fish and eBay. If you sell
through eBay, you can register your auctions to partially or completely support
Hope4FuzieFaniez. Please contact us for
more information if you’d like to learn how to set this up on your eBay
account. Also, if you buy through eBay
and use paypal, we are now registered through Mission
Fish and could appear as one of the charities asking for a $1 donation during
checkout!
Shelter contest
Petfinder just started up a
shelter contest and is giving away lots of free grant money. To support the shelter and cast your vote go
to http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com/clickToGive/shelterchallenge.faces?siteId=3. You can vote once per day every day until
June 26, 2009 and as a reminder, the shelter is registered in Grover, CO. It’s a great way to help the animals without
any cost to you but a few moments of your time.
Please help Hope4FuzieFaniez by casting your daily vote and getting us
closer to the grant prizes!
Cages
Right now, we need some new
cages. The item costs are low but the
shipping costs tend to be quite high with this company. However, PetEdge is
currently running a special where if you spend $550 you receive free
shipping. We already have one cat cage
and one dog cage that have been pledged, so this leaves only $400 left to get
the free shipping. If you would like to
purchase a dog or a cat cage under this program, please let us know. Basically, you’d just paypal
your portion to Tami and she would place the order for everyone and have it
arrive in one shipment. It’s a great way
for people to pool their resources and help a whole lot of lucky animals! Once the cages arrive, she will be taking
pictures of the furries enjoying their new
accommodations and these will appear in subsequent newsletters. Please let us know if you’d like to help out
with this effort!
We have several small dogs that
are terrified of anyone and everything and basically just need more
attention. We have a special room at the
shelter for these little guys but we would like to provide them with some new
cages since the ones we are currently using are getting old, rusty and becoming
unsafe for the dogs. The cages that Tami
has selected are affordable and attractive (they come in pink or blue!) but
most of all are durable and have just the right level of exposure that scared
dogs need to get accustomed to their surroundings while still feeling safe in
their own space. You can see the cages
here: http://homeandkennel.petedge.com/ProSelect-Fold-Down-Crates-Fashion-Colors-ZW719.pro?parentCategoryId=194&categoryId=310&subCategoryId=502.
These are the special little guys
that need their own cages. If you’d like
to donate a cage, be sure to let Tami know which lucky little dog you’d like to
live in your cage!
Sparky

Carrot

We still have a few cats that are
need of cages as well. We have several
cats at the shelter that have issues that need individual attention. Some of the kitties are older and are
dominated by younger cats. Other kitties
just don’t play well with others. We
need a way to keep them socialized but not at the expense of the other
animals. Therefore we need to purchase a
few stand alone cat enclosures. If you’d
like to purchase a cat cage they are available at: http://homeandkennel.petedge.com/ProSelect-Standard-Foldable-Cat-Cages-ZW334.pro?parentCategoryId=194&categoryId=310&subCategoryId=502.
These are the special pairs of cats
that still need a cage. Please let Tami
know which lucky kitties will be provided with a new place to live!
