Welcome to March!

How
you can help:
GoodSearch is a toolbar you
download and put on your regular internet browser. Then, instead of going to google.com or
another type of search engine, you just type what you want to search for in the
GoodSearch box and Tami and the furries will receive $0.01 from GoodSearch for
every single search you complete through their toolbar. I installed this a week ago and so far have
earned Tami $0.71. This isn’t much, but
imagine how much she could get each month if everyone on this email list used
GoodSearch and selected Hope4FuzieFaniez their charity.
If you would like to get in on
this awesome way to give just by doing something most people do every day
(searching for something online) without any cost to you:
1.
Go to www.GoodSearch.com
2.
Then, under “who do you GoodSearch for” put in: Hope4FuzieFaniez and
click verify
3.
Then, click Add GoodSearch to your IE, Firefox, or Mac toolbar
4.
A new page will appear and you simply click the download button.
5.
After it is downloaded to your computer you will then click run
to install the program.
6.
After it is installed, re-open your internet browser and see your new
GoodSearch! Every single time you use
it, you give a little bit more to the animals at Fuzie Faniez.
Oh, and many people are concerned
with internet security (and rightly so), but GoodSearch is a legitimate company
and they do not ask for any information from you to download their software,
they do not charge you anything, and they do not take any information from your
computer. Basically, the program just
allows you to search for the benefit of a charity.
Cages
We have several cats at the
shelter that have issues that need individual attention. Some of the kitties are older and are
dominated by younger cats. Other kitties
just don’t play well with others. We
need a way to keep them socialized but not at the expense of the other
animals. Therefore we need to purchase a
few stand alone cat enclosures. Tami has
selected the ProSelect enclosures on this website: http://homeandkennel.petedge.com/ProSelect-Standard-Foldable-Cat-Cages-ZW334.pro?parentCategoryId=194&categoryId=310&subCategoryId=502. If you would like to buy an enclosure for
Tami or donate some funds toward the purchase of one please let Tami know. She’s urgently trying to get a few of these
so that EVERY cat at the shelter can have somewhere safe to live until their
new owners come. A cage purchase is
considered an animal sponsorship and your name would be placed on every cage
that you purchase for the shelter.

Fundraising
You could help with fundraising in lieu of providing a monetary donation. Ally needs people to help with contacting businesses for donations, “selling” logo space on our new adoption brochures to local businesses, and also help with finding appropriate grants to apply for. We are also working on designing t-shirts and hope to have them available in the near future. And, if you have some other fundraising ideas she’d love to hear about those too! Please contact Ally at ally.mead@colorado.edu.
Success
story: (from Tami)
Greyson was one of four almost one year old dogs that came to the shelter together from a breeder who did not handle or socialize them at all. They were the most scared and timid dogs I’d ever seen. An awesome young lady named Kristine came to visit Greyson one day and ended up adopting him. She has tons of patience and a lot of knowledge about dogs and has worked with him a lot. Now he is a happy and very much loved socialized dog! She did a great job with him and keeps me updated on his progress. He now loves baths and is so happy someone gave him a chance at life!
