June Newsletter
Hello Everyone!
HOPE you all are well, and enjoying some nice weather! Remember "Winkey?"- Breeder release who got attacked by the neighbors dog and lost his eye? Then the owners didn't want him because he wasn't cute anymore..... well, He is doing great! He finally got over his mange, and got neutered, de-wormed, and got the 7" of mats shaved off of him. He is  soooo comfy spending lots of time curled on the couch or playing with all his new buddies. Unless i can find that perfect person, he will become a permanant resident here.
Meet "Keebler"!  She just came into the rescue last week. She was a show dog, and i think the story was she was not the right color??? My friend Jamie who is a groomer made her as pretty as can be. She is 2 years old and will be ready for a new home as soon as i get her spayed. If anyone would like to sponsor her spay wich will be 35$ please let me know!
Little "Tulip"- she was a mill dog. She has come SO far and is learning how to enjoy life. Here she is all curled up on the couch with out any worries in the world! wooop!
Another thing that is always going on here is the ranch work. Busy Busy time of year, so if you can't reach me or i don't return a phone call right away it is just because i am even MORE busy than usual!!

Everyone please say a prayer for our Superman Dr. Welsh who is the vet that comes up with the mobile clinic. He has been in the hospital with West Nile and a serious foot problem. I talked to him last night and told him Linda & Lisa from C.A.R.E. , Marci and I wanted to send him a gift while he was in the hospital and his reply was " It is the thought that counts, but please spend the money to help the animals."....... What a Guy!!!

Special Thank you to Amy Nissen (she is 12) who saved her spare change because she wanted to send it to a NO-KILL shelter. Yesterday i got a check in the mail from her mom. They decided they wanted H4FF to have it and it was $58.41!  Thanks Amy!!  That story just made my day!!!

Wich makes me think of money problems........ I am going to have to buy 2 new window air conditioners for the dog rooms, 2 new box-fans, and the on-going CAT FOOD bill is horrible. Really Really need help so i can purchase these items in the next week or two before the heat  gets here. If you can help at all - even if it is a small amount, please do!

On a sad note: I had to have my old gelding Nuggett humanely Euthanized last week. I have had the old guy for 18 years. He had a bad leg, and layed down and just couldn't get back up one day. I spent 2 days at his side hand feeding him and loving on him. It was a VERY hard thing to do, but i am glad he is at peace now. Thanks to Dr. Shane from the Pine Bluffs vet Clinic for being the only one who would take the time to come out and do this for me.

And of course THANK YOU to all of you who have been helping us out! We couldn't do this without YOU!  Everyone here is happy and healthy and appreciating you ALL!

Our next clinic is scheduled for June 25 & 26. We are waiting to hear for sure if Dr. welsh is going to be up to this. Keep checking.....

Thanks and Big hugs to all of you!!
